Jonathan started his insurance career four decades ago as part of a Marine Underwriting Syndicate within Lloyds of London.  After 17 years,  he moved into the High Net Worth private client sector, first with specialist private client brokers and then a leading insurer, where he was instrumental in successfully relaunching a product specifically designed for High Net Worth clients.

In 2005 Jonathan established Merritt Insurance Services understanding that the needs of Private Clients can best be delivered through smaller, bespoke, service driven brokers.

Jonathan’s reputation with both clients and the London High Net Worth insurance market is one of independent professionalism based upon traditional values and great service.
