This year’s GWCT Grey Partridge Trophy (East Anglia) was won by Simon Maudlin, for his outstanding conservation programme at Caldecote House Farm in Upper Caldecote Bedfordshire. Castleacre Director, Hugo Johnsen, presented him with the winners trophy at Benington Lordship in Hertfordshire, the home of last year’s winner Andrew Bott.

Dr Roger Draycott, Senior Scientist for the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust commented ‘Simon has given a lot of thought and consideration to the year round
habitat requirements of the grey partridge and it was also clear that lots of other birds and wildlife are benefiting from this careful management.’
