Melanie has more than 20 years’ experience working with private clients, beginning her insurance career with a Lloyd’s Broker before moving into underwriting. Here she helped develop bespoke schemes including contract works for private homeowners and high-net-worth household policies.

Melanie gained first-hand understanding of the risks that historic properties face and the management and mitigation of those risks during a two-year secondment with the National Trust. She extended her knowledge of Fine Art and Works of Art by completing a National Trust conservation course during this secondment. Melanie later returned to insurance as an advisor with a high-net-worth global broker.

She specialises in looking after the insurance requirements of private clients who own high-value period property, listed buildings, historic houses and fine art.
