International Fine Art Professionals Gather for Art Business Summit

Specialist Art Advisors from the UK, America and Europe gathered together for the 2018 Art Business Summit in Ireland to discuss the current state of the art market, art investment and legacy.
The Art Business Summit, now in its second year, has been driven by lawyer, Rosanne McDonnell, who after many years of working within the Fine Art sector, realised the value and importance of sharing information, and the experiences of fellow professionals within the Art Market.
Speakers this year included Georgina Adam, Arts journalist for the Financial Times and Art Newspaper, Mary Rozell, Global Head of the UBS Art Collection, and Ruth Cornett, Head of Christie’s London Heritage and Taxation Advisory Service.
The Summit introduced by the Countess of Dunraven was held in the beautifully renovated and refurbished Adare Manor in Limerick. Speakers from the United States, Europe and Britain discussed the current international art market environment, art as investment and collection legacies, which was this year’s primary theme.
Castleacre Director Guy Everington said ‘The Summit brought together various international fine art professionals and provided the perfect opportunity to share and discuss some of the more nuanced aspects of the art market and art investment – our own focus was the value of broker advice in protecting any art investment and legacy through the provision of bespoke insurance and accuate valuations advice.’
