Cartoon Trust Under 30 Cartoonist of the Year

While we are dedicated to insurance we know that for most people it is a financial provision which they view as essential but rather dry – one of the many reasons why we chose to partner the Cartoon Trust and sponsor their award for the Under 30 Cartoonist of the year.  The award allows us to commission an originial cartoon each year, providing, we hope, a more amusing perspective on insurance.

The most recent cartoonist to take up this daunting challenge was the under 30 cartoonist of the year 2010 – Alex Driver.  Alex is by day an industrial designer and engineer and is currently working as a research associate with Cambridge University. Luckily for us he devotes his spare time to devising brilliantly astute cartoons that have been employed to great effect in ‘The Cambridge Student’ magazine.

Alex’s response to our commission in the spring was a little disconcerting because he came up with not one but several first class ideas.  In the end we plumped for this pertinent prod at insurance ‘small print’, an area we are all too familiar with.
